The Rambelles added another win to their list after beating St. Mary’s University 4-0 on September 21.

The game was intense in the first half without any goals being scored. Although Jenny Kotowych, forward, got a great chance to make a goal in the right side of the penalty box, the opponent goal keeper saved her shot.

However, the Rambelles shifted the balance of the game in the 74th minute. The Rambelles constantly knocked on the opponent’s goal post, and Brianne Brown, No. 23, got a penalty kick from opponent’s holding violation in the penalty box.

Kotowych ran for a kick and made a first goal of the match calmly.

“It was PK, but actually the goal is really good.” Jenny Kotowych said, “It was really exciting because I did for my team.”

They didn’t stop bringing their best offense after the first goal.

Brown who had acquired the PK threw a brilliant middle-range shot and made a second goal in the eightieth minute.

After their second goal, Sierra Anderson’s offensive instinct came alive toward the end of the game. Tiffany Dang, No. 24, carried out two perfect pin-point passes for Anderson who made the third and fourth goals of the game.

The Rambelle’s defense did their role exceptionally. Their four-back defensive line fastened the opponent’s feet and Shantel Wittke, goal keeper, boasted an impressive saving show.

The Rambelle’s defensive line and goal keepers have allowed only three goals in six games, and their average losing points are only 0.6 per game.

Spectators were also excited, cheering and shouting out “Let’s go rams! Let’s go Rams.” The spectators gave a standing ovation at the end of the game.

With victory ate the end of the game, the Rambelles extended their winning streak and recorded 6-0-0 for the season.

“We are expecting to get all the way so hopefully twenty five wins all together.” Jenny Kotowych said.

The Rambelles play again on Friday, Sept. 26, against Midwestern State University.
