The winter break is upon us, and the Ram Fam has two entire months off of school. The break spans from the last day of the fall semester on Nov. 24 to the first day of the spring semester on Jan. 25.
Students’ plans are varied as they take on the break. COVID-19 related restrictions have prevented travel for most of the community, but ASU students are still finding creative ways to spend the holidays.
“I’m going home to spend the break with my family, and then I’ll start student teaching at a school back home and stay there through the spring semester,” said senior education major Abby Lucas.
Ramiro Rodriguez, junior pre-nursing student, said he’s planning to stay in San Angelo and work at his job here, as well as staying fit over the winter break.
“I’m gonna take the time to actually sit down and watch Game of Thrones,” said Klarissa Morales, a junior psychology student.
An ASU December graduate stated that she’d be visiting various family members and close friends throughout the break before starting up her new full-time role in Austin at the end of January.
Most student employees at ASU are able to work over the break, and they’re staying in San Angelo to keep busy while school is out of session.
