ASU announces new University website
Website expected to take over the old domain and contain the same information plus more when it launches Dec.6
Angelo State University’s Web Team announced on Tuesday that there will be a new school website set to launch Sunday, Dec. 6 and be seen by the public Dec. 7.
The website shown during Tuesday’s virtual town hall meeting brings a modern take to the old domain, with big infographics highlighting some of the key statistics involving education, financial aid and athletics here at ASU. Along with the infographic filled home page, there is a pop-out menu to help with whatever people may need to find in whatever department and building they are searching for. Another highlight showed off was the filters that the website shows to help students and faculty of the past, present and future along with their families.
Presenters Christina van Ittersum, Pete Gaioni, Rebekah Brackin and Patrick Dierschke all answered questions in regards to the transfer of information and accessibility. They also told the audience attending the meeting that all the information from the old ASU website would transfer over completely and would be given the new look.
To close the presentation, the web team assured that the changes are only being made to angelo.edu and not the other websites associated with the school such as Blackboard, RamPort and other websites that students use to access schoolwork.
