Students on Oct. 10 gathered at the ASU Pavilion for the Blue and Gold Party presented by the ASU Homecoming Committee.

All students were welcome to attend and received a free T-shirt, as well as blue and gold powder while supplies lasted.

“They’re going to throw the powder all at once,” said Edelyn Park, Blue and Gold Party and relay chair.

At 5:30 p.m., immediately after the Blue and Gold Party, the relay began. Registered student organizations and students who registered for the event were able to participate, Park said. Some of the organizations who participated were Sigma Kappa, Delta Zeta, Kappa Delta Rho and Delta Sigma Pi.

Junior Hillary Johnson said she attended the Blue and Gold Party for the first time this year.

“It looked like a lot of fun, so I wanted to go this year,” Johnson said. “My favorite part was being able to do it with my friends. I definitely recommend it.”
