Constantly changing

Living in strange, new places is not a foreign concept to me.

In fact, I spent the last eight years of my life moving around, and living in places I never thought I would live.

At this point in life, I have come to accept that nothing in life is constant.

Everything keeps changing in ways I could never imagine.

As a child, I envisioned college Eunice to be a pre-veterinary student at one of the Philippines’ best universities, eating Filipino street food every afternoon, and pretty much having the typical Filipino college student experience.

I pictured life falling into place smoothly.

Yet, here I am in San Angelo, Texas, majoring in History, and wondering why life is such a messy jungle full of winding paths.

It’s funny how life can be a stark contrast to our childhood dreams. We thought everything would go our way.

The reality is, sometimes nothing really goes our way.

A simple decision or incident can alter our course in life, and change everything.

Life moves in mysterious ways. I think that’s why change is constant.

It’s important that we take the time to reflect on the changes in our lives.

The blows of life become more bearable when we anticipate change.

Change is constant and life is a wild ride.
