Puppy Love

I recently became a mom this summer.

His name is Oliver, he is six months old and he is a long-haired Chihuahua (he’s my fur baby).

Ollie has kept my hands full since the moment I got him.

His daily routine consists of chewing up my shoe strings, using the bathroom on my carpet, crying every time I walk out of the room and playing three hours of fetch with his sock monkey toy

My boyfriend, Devan, and I have been working on potty training him but he thinks his puppy pads look better chewed up, thrown around the floor.

He barks when he wants to go outside but once we get outside he ends up chasing the birds and squirrels instead of doing his business.

Devan gets jealous of Ollie because of how much attention I give him.

Ollie always has to sleep right up against me, with me rubbing his belly just so he can get comfortable.

For only being five pounds and 12 inches long, he takes up my whole bed, pushing me to the edge every night.

Most nights I wake up in the middle of the night and find him watching me sleep with his huge disproportioned eyes. Not to mention, he is all black haired except for his paws which is pretty creepy when you see him in the dark.

I will also add that as I type this he is licking my screen and biting my fingers.

Even though he is a lot of trouble, there’s no way to explain how much he means to me.
