New VP comes to campus
Limbaugh to lead planning process

Dr. James M. Limbaugh, an active leader in higher education for more than three decades, has been named ASU's new vice president for strategy, planning and policy. Limbaugh, who currently resides as the associate vice president for institutional effectiveness at Frostburg State University in Maryland, will take his seat as VP June 1.
ASU disc golf
The ASU disc golf season starts afresh this week with the updated course. The first inaugural toss took place Thursday near the Hardeman Building, kicking off a campus-wide recreational tournament. No entry fees were charged and UCPC gave out t-shirts to all involved.
Items tabled at Tech Board of Regents' March meeting

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents will meet for a special session Saturday, March 29 to further examine the requests to increase tuition and fees for the Texas Tech and Angelo State Universities. This item, along with others, were tabled until the Board's meeting May 8 and 9 because of a sequencing issue preventing immediate approval of the recommendations.
Nontraditional set for '08-'09 editor

Sun Cha is not the traditional student. She is 26, an English and Journalism double major and will be the first person in her family to graduate from high school or college. She is also an honor student, full-time single mom to her three-year-old daughter and a woman proud of her Korean heritage.
Brain expert to lecture on campus

Neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey D. Macklis will be the speaker at the 32nd annual West Texas Medical Associate Distinguished Lectureship in Science Honoring Dr. Roy E. Moon. Macklis is a professor of stem cell and regenerative biology at Harvard University and neuroscience, neurology and neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School.
Show Team flocks to championships

This year's Livestock Show Team has followed its usual pattern of wins and stepped it up even more. The team's hard work paid off this spring with a result of three Reserve Champion placings from major shows and a plethora of top rankings. At the most recent show in Houston this past spring break, the team took home the Reserve Champion Rambouillet Ewe and placed first and second in various other categories.
Structure inspires Fort Worth artist

The artwork of Ron Watson will be on public display in ASU's Art Gallery through April 18 in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building. The Art Gallery is located in Room 193 of the EFA Building and Watson's exhibition, "Symmetries," will be open for viewing on weekdays from 8 a.
