Clean break for residents

For the first time, students can be happy the washing machines will not be taking their quarters. Residence Life has introduced a new benefit to its students - clean clothes at no cost. "We decided to adopt this program as a convenience to our students," said Connie Frazier, director of Residence Life.

Freshman Amy McNew and her mother waited for their turn to squeeze into the elevator at Centennial Village, the newest residence hall at ASU. Both Amy and her mother could barely see over clothes piled high in an oversized blue rolling hamper that they pushed into the residence hall.

Students welcomed over weekend

After a quiet summer, the Angelo State campus has come back to life. Students have settled into their dorm and were introduced to the new semester with fun events and free food. Rambunctious Weekend, beginning Friday, and ending Sunday, welcomed incoming freshman and returning students with events and activities unlike previous years.

Campus receives face-lift, upgrades

Classes have officially started at ASU and thousands of students have returned to campus while others are brand new to campus living. Along with new students, there have been improvements and additions to the campus that are meant to make life just a little bit easier.
