Abstract:
Price gouging is a staple, not only at ASU, but among universities across the nation. None are immune to the greedy, almost charlatan-like ways of scrounging up an extra nickel here and there.

Whether it be the outrageous price of books, cokes at the UC, or $90 to park, (what is this, New York City?) we've all experienced it....

Tthe price of going to college is getting outrageous but don't blame ASU in particular. Book prices are set by the publisher, soda is sold by the contractor ASU uses for food service, who just paid to renovate the UC, and with a meal plan its pretty cheap. Parking here is almost free when compared to other Universities (and NY city, have you ever even been there?) and I don't think most students decide to go "the cheapest" school. This article sounds like it was written by a bunch of idiot freshman. I'm all down for paying less but which services would you like to cut to make this happen? Answer that and I'll give you much more respect.

Actually, if the the Ram Page did their research. The $90 price tag is nowhere a profit. ASUPD in the past has been losing money. The new price tag just allows them to operate like normal. There is no profit made. Check the figures, they won't lie. If anyone noticed prices went up everywhere, not for profit, but because it was essential in a struggling economy.

Yo! Michael McDonald...I am gonna let you finish, but this was the best editorial of all time. The Publisher doesn't set the price of the textbooks, the retailers do. (Idiot) The retailers that bid for the contract so they can rip us off. ASU allows it to happen to us, so ultimately it does come back to The U. Also, nowhere did they mention a profit being used from permits for extra donuts. Why pay $90 to park when there are never any close to the building you need to get to. So go on Michael, "Ya MO BE THERE" with your bad self.
